Until this week Viewfore read a person's vitals and events and left the rest of the record alone. That left out the part many people care about most: the notes they wrote and the sources they cited.
Now the card has a small document button beside the bookmark. It appears only when the person has something to show. Open it and you get three things:
- Notes. The free text on the record, inline or attached.
- Sources. Every citation, grouped under the fact it supports: the name, a birth, a marriage, a census, a burial. The source's title is resolved from the file, and the page reference and any quoted text come with it.
- Also recorded. Facts that have no place on a map: education, religion, nationality, a title, a physical description, health notes, and reference numbers.
Citations attached to a marriage show on both spouses. Long lists are capped so a heavily sourced person stays readable, and duplicates are folded.
On a public share with living people hidden, all three are hidden for anyone who might be living, the same as their dates.
The example family now cites a set of invented sources on about half its facts, so you can see how it looks. Open Patrick Donnelly for the fullest example.
